The Brazilian singer Lilian Vieira was part of the band Bacán in the 90’s, and tours since 2000 with the brazilectro band Zuco 103 the (inter) national clubs and festivals.
From the moment Zuco 103 took a musical break, Lilian is a frequently asked guest soloist: To perform with the famous Metropole Orchestra, with many Dutch artists, and she performed with several Brazilian artists like Roberto Menescal, DJ Marcelinho da Lua and Bossacucanova.

Lilian Vieira finds her musical roots in the black-oriented Brazilian musical style “Samba Soul” from the 70s. Those years are the golden years of creativity in Brazil where the greats like Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa en Maria Bethânia write their masterpieces.
Also, these were the years of dictatorship, where criticism on the government was made in secret.

Music became the ultimate communication tool. In this creative and fruitful period there was plenty of experimentation with different musical styles of the African-origin musicians; Groups like Trio Mocotó and Banda Black Rio mixed funk with samba. In this time of enormous musical growth singers like Elis Regina and Elsa Soares know their height.

Lilian Vieira brings her own interpretation of this Samba Soul, assisted by great musicians!
